Quick question, I need to open a project in FCP x recently opened in a newer version of FCPx 10.4.8. Now I'm unable to open it on the version I'm currently using - FCP x 10.4.6. For various reasons, I'm unable, at this time, to upgrade my computer and FCP x, so is there any way to save/export/share the project making it possible to be open on version 10.4.6?

unfortunately when I try to open it, after creating a new library, at some point the process stops and I get this information "An unexpected error occurred in importing the media. (asset: /fcpxml[1]/resources[1]/asset[884])"

It was importing but suddenly it stoped almost at the middle and I got that information.
Strangely enough, a few minutes after the pop-up window with that information, it was importing something, I've waited until now, all this time, more than 10 hours of import only to discover, when it was finished, nothing in the new library, what I mean is, it didn't import anything.
I used 1.7, I had the option of using 1.8, but I used 1.7
The media is stored in an external hard drive and the xml is in the same hard drive.
Since it didn't import nothing I cannot answer the final question.

You can export an XML of your library that can be opened in 10.4.6.
Were you able to import the library at all, or did the XML fail? What version of XML did you use? Should be 1.7.
Where is the media stored? Is it only one file that's missing, or everything?
