i can't see my external hdd in disk utility. so i can open my external hdd or format my external hdd.
but in "about this mac>storage" and "system information" u can see detail and external hdd.
so how can i format my external hdd or open external hdd ?
i already change the old USB to new USB cable. but still can't showing at disk utility and finder.

What version of macOS are you using?
Disconnect all external drives except this one and launch the Terminal app and run the following command (press the "Return" key at the end of the line to execute the command):
diskutil list external
Post the results here.
Within Disk Utility click on "View" and select "Show All Devices" so that the physical drive appears in the left pane of Disk Utility. Then erase the physical drive as GUID partition and MacOS Extended (Journaled).

before this , my external drives can use in my macbook. but after update new osx i can't use and can't format external drives too

My instructions to erase the whole physical drive (if performed correctly) are meant to get away from the Windows formatting.
Were you able to see the physical drive in Disk Utility? I'm not sure how it would appear named, but there is a possibility the physical drive will appear as "Genesis Logic...." If you did see the physical drive did Disk Utility have an error when erasing the drive?
In rare cases some external drives just are not compatible with a Mac.
Going by the name, is it NTFS formatted? MacOS can't mount and read NTFS natively, you need third-party software to do so.
