Mac Book Air proxies

My Mac book air suddenly logged out of gmail and I did something to the proxy settings and now it keeps asking me for the passed for my key chain and I can’t get onto the internet or get the little boxes asking for key chain passwords to disappear. It now won’t let me login or even type into the password box.

It seems the first problem is that you can't log in because nothing appears in the password entry field.

Please determine if you can log in using "Safe Mode": Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac. If you can, open Network Preferences and undo the custom proxy settings you configured.

Make your protocols look like this:

If you need to configure a proxy, you need specific information to determine the required settings.

Reasons for using one involve restrictions imposed upon using a network provided by an institution such as a corporation or university. If you are using your Mac in such a setting, then you will need to obtain that information from whomever is responsible for maintaining that network.
