Apple ID login issues on Macbook late 2008 with Mavericks 10.9.5

I have a late 2008 Aluminum Macbook with Mavericks installed and for some reason when I log into my any application that requires my apple ID such as the App Store, Facetime, iCloud, I do not get the pop up to enter the Apple ID verification code I need.

This happens when I try to enter my Apple ID to use any of those apps. I enter my correct Apple ID password, it tells me it requires I enter an Apple ID verification code to sign in and to type my password followed by my verification code shown on my other devices.

I get a notice on my iPhone asking if I want to allow my Macbook trying to log into my Apple ID account. I click "Allow" and get a verification code on my iPhone to enter in my Macbook. However, NO WINDOW ever pops up for me to enter that verification code in my Macbook. I only get the window to enter my Apple ID and password. Thats it. The pop up window where I should enter the Apple ID verification code does not appear AT ALL.

I just stuck where I enter my Apple ID and password. Whats going? I've done the same process in my iMac and a separate window does pop up where I can enter the verification code.

Can someone please help??

I can't use Facetime, iCloud or my App Store.

Hello,

This sounds like it is related to Two-Factor Authentication. You will need to generate a secure code from another device and type it after your password. Example: password123456
