New HP Elite Display E243i Monitor Driver updated needed for 2014 Mac Powerbook

Hi! Just purchased the new rotate monitor by HP and the display works fine when it's normal view. But once I rotate the screen 90* it doesn't auto format. I spoke with HP and they said I need to get an updated driver from apple but I can't locate it online. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue/and a solution. I currently have the powerbook connected via HDMI- should I connect another way? Any insights would be most appreciated. Thanks!
