Removing the protective film that comes with a brand new iPhone 11

Removing the protective film that comes with a brand new iPhone11.

Just as the Coronavirus started my phone crapped out. I purchased an iPhone 11 and got it all set up but left a protective coating on the comes with the iPhone in the box. I was concerned that I would scratch the screen before I could get the real glass protector on. It does quite affect the touchscreen in a negative way. It works, but poorly.

Does anyone have any bright ideas how I can handle this until I’m able to take it to an Apple store and get the glass film protector put on by someone who knows what they’re doing?

Thank you in advance.

This is NOT meant to discourage you from using a protective cover if you want to when you are able to have one applied the way that you want to, but it's possible to get by without one until you can do that. I have used iPhones since 2010 with no screen protector and I have never had a scratch on the screen. I'm just reasonably careful with it -- I carry it in my pants pocket and don't put anything else in the same pocket with the phone.
