iMovie - Picture in picture and watermark

I'm trying to create a video in iMovie with a small video going in the corner for sign language purposes. I am also required to add a watermark in the opposite corner of the screen. However, it seems that there is no way of having both the "picture in picture" function and a watermark simultaneously. Does anyone know how to circumvent this?

The way to circumvent it is to create a new project, overlay your sign language video onto the clip, using the picture in picture function. Then share out the project and import the shared clip into your original project. Then you can overlay the watermark.
