That's right. The software to display a video DVD on a Mac is designed to not display it when it's being shared or if a screenshot is being made of it. It's due to the DRM (digital rights management) that exists.
Are the video DVDs you're trying to Zoom commercial or did you create them?
Due to the DRM (digital rights management) on commercial DVDs Apple has prevented streaming DVDs or taking screenshots of DVDs while paused. It's illegal to share like that.

It just occurred to me, that is for personal use but if it is being used at a non-profit organization or a church to share a talk and has the permission to show a video to the public anyways that would be a different story. Especially the videos are in you tube made for public. This is what we are trying to do here. Not famous movies thanks
