Delete Mail App

I have read numerous forums where someone asks how to delete the mail app and the answers are far from simple. Surely it is possible to delete the mail app from a Mac Book Pro, right?

I only ever use email from a web browser. I don't understand why my computer insists on using a whopping 20GB of space for the mail app, and also tells me that it it is not logged into any account. I just want those 20GB that are being wasted, and I have never, nor will I ever be interested in the mail app.

If it is downright impossible to delete the mail app and get those 20GB back, I would love for someone to just say that outright, and not come up with a handful of responses in computer languages that I don't understand.

Looking for as simple an answer as possible.

Thank you.

It's not 20 GB. More like 20MB.

No, it is not simple to delete built-in apps, and they will be reinstalled at every update.
