My keyboard doesn't light up since I upgraded from Mac OS Mojave to Catalina

Sooo since I upgraded I can't turn the backlight on . Even when I press the buttons on my Touch Bar to change the brightness of the keyboard they do nothing. And even when I go to system preferences I don't have any options about the keyboard backlight (picture below). I really hope I'm just stupid and nothings wrong .
