Are you attempting to access Bluetooth by hard pressing the Settings icon on the screen to access it from the quick menu? If you try, does it crash? If that is the case, that was a bug that was discovered and fixed with the release of iOS 13.4.1. Update your iPad.

Not having a solution you accept or like is not the same as not having empathy.

How exactly do I demonstrate empathy to your telling me you're going to quit Apple?

Apple had a little more empathy for their customer, you wouldn't have to be in this forum constantly telling people about what Apple is or is not obliged to do.

People post here blaming Apple for being shut out of their Facebook account. For SMS messages not being delivered in a timely fashion. For refunds from Microsoft they have not yet received. People post lengthy screeds here threatening to replace their family's 72 Apple devices if they don't get an answer to their 3rd party app issue. Once we empathetically ask if they have restarted their device for troubleshooting, we don't hear from them again.

Ignore me if you feel i am not adding value. Plenty do.

I am guessing here the functionality taken from you was never a designed feature. A developer used an existing feature in iOS in a unique way to provide what seems to be a well regarded 3rd party app. That it was removed does not indicate Apple's disdain for those using it in an unsupported way. Like most anyone else I have had technology updates break my ability to use devices in an unsupported way.

It is unfortunate you lost a valuable feature.

Apple has a long history or removing software and hardware features without public consultation or notice.

So this is a response that shows empathy as opposed to your previous one which was tantamount to "Yeah, And, So, What?" which had zero empathy for the situation I was in regarding my software.

Yes, people post absolutely ridiculous messages in this forum as they mistake forum for Twitter or Facebook as a place to rant.

This is unfortunate especially for persons like you trying to be helpful.

So let me leave by simply just reiterating my point.

Apple are correct to always be forwarding their software to the best of their abilities.

It is for the third party app writers to keep up.

BUT….

It would cost Apple nothing to allow some degree of wriggle room for persons (such as myself) to circumvent problem situations like this.

A great deal of this thread is people wishing to step back their operating system. Whether they were right or wrong to have upgraded is one issue, but Apple would have many more friends by implementing such a simple step.

I am hoping we part without any bad feelings

None on my part.

I will respectfully disagree with this I'm afraid. A cold as it may seem, I believe Apple's "success" is firmly tied to it not doing that. There are an estimated billion users of iOS. It's a case of "the needs of the many..."

I have been using several controllers in games via bluetooth since long time. Recently gave my phone to brothers and bought xs too but didn’t know about this new updates. So basicially your 3rd party controllers won’t work cause of this carplay stabilisation. I bought phones mainly for gaming and now they have no use for it. Ios 13.5 not supporting any bluetooth touch screen controller. The only solution will be updating my phones for android ones :). Thank you apple for convincing me to use android devices. One plus 8 ? Black shark? Asus rog phone? Let’s see bests out ther and leave apple. I was getting upset anyway with this close enviroment for couple of years. You can’t even use headphones and charge at the same time without earbuds...

such a pain because i was considering iphone 12... but i don’t wanna play games with my fingers on the screen... it is not comfortable.

This is the reply I received from shooting v3

Please find the game controller seller

The shooting plus V3 app only helps game controller manufacturers to match

If other game platforms tell you that they have solved IOS 14.0, they are not responsible for cheating you.

For now, apple hasn't changed the compatibility of Bluetooth touch protocol.

What you are told to solve now is not a real solution. He just switched to mouse Bluetooth or MFI.

If you need to, please contact your game controller seller, let the manufacturer inform us to provide mouse Bluetooth protocol support update.

There is only one touch point for mouse Bluetooth protocol, so he has no experience of Bluetooth touch protocol at all.

In fact, the shootingplus V3 app has provided an update to support IOS 14.0, but your equipment manufacturer has not informed us.

Please ask the manufacturer to inform us to put in the update.
