unmount Macintosh HD
I am erasing the hard drive on iMac (2020, Catalina). Message is "the volume Macintosh HD couldn't be unmounted because it is in use by (kextcache).
Tried repairing, message "couldn't unmount disk (- 69565)

Thank you. I can use, but certainly don't understand the inner workings of my Mac so I always try to follow Apple Support instructions. Using Recovery Internet I was able to solve the problem and reinstall. Thanks again
Thank you. Using Internet Recovery I. was able to access Macintosh HD. I used repair and then was able to erase. Reinstall was successful
