How can I install os x snow leopard from my original 2012 MacBook Air disk?

I have a 2012 macbook air in which the ssd died. I installed another ssd from a second 2012 macbook air that was blank and formatted and tried to install mac os x using apple internet restore. That failed three times in a row. How can I install os x snow leopard from my original disk?

You can, but the SSD has to be compatible with the internal mechanism of the MacBook Air, unless you end up using the SSD externally on the MacBook Air. Macs can boot off external USB drives since 2006.

The MacBook Air uses a proprietary internal SSD connector for internal use.
