iPad Pro 2017 10.5 Black Screen issue

Hi. I have a 2017 iPad Pro A1701 10.5 inch which I purchased new 14 months ago. I've had no problems with it so far and it has never been dropped or damaged in any way. Tonight whilst using it the screen turned a very dark blue (almost black) colour, I tried turning it off and back on but It's not even showing the apple logo. The screen does become energised when I press the power or home button it just remains the dark blue/black colour. If I plug it in to the charger it chimes like usual to indicate charging. If I connect it to my Mac it does not show up in iTunes. Any advice on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Martin.

If iPad isn’t responding, do one of the following:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On an iPad with Face ID: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

If iPad still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen.Try these basic steps:
