Catalina Update bricked my macbook pro 13

Anyone else do the recent 10.15.4 update and have their machine completely bricked?

Mine will not turn on...not after resetting the SMB...not at all. Apple's update appears to have completely killed my macbook. It's now completely unresponsive.

Catalina software update I did the 10.15.7 Catalina software update on my MacBook Pro and it’s being weird. It went to the black update screen with the Apple logo and a 29-minute timer, then after about 30-seconds, the computer rebooted itself several times. Then it started the countdown over again. It seemed to work fine after that. But then it got stuck on the last part at “less than a minute remaining.” I waited for nearly 5 minutes and then tried to boot up in safe mode but it wouldn’t work. It just booted up in what looked like my old Mojave screen. So I logged in and tried to see what would happen, and it restarted the entire Catalina software update. So now it’s back to that again. Can anyone advise on what might be happening or what to do?

Catalina bricked my MacBook Air I updated to Catalina and it bricked my MacBook Air. Not the Apple experience I expect. Does anyone know what to do for this....no response from the machine at all. It is dead. Appreciate the help.

Catalina update bricked my 2018 Mac mini I did the update to my 2018 Mac mini, shut it down and unplugged it due to incoming storms last night. This morning it is a brick. No light, sounds, totally dead. I have to work from home and all Apple support did was have me try to zap the PRAM. I’ve been scouring the internet for help and I’m finding a lot of folks with the same problem. With everyone working from home due to COVID-19, Apple needs to fix this now! Tim Cook, please get on this!

Got it. You've all been quite helpful. Somehow, I have the feeling that that Catalina patch is going to unearth a number of other bricked machines. Hopefully I'm the only one.
