How do I connect a Logitech C270 web camera to my MacBook Air?

I find lots of conflicting information on the Logitech C270. Can be connected or not? And if it can be connected, how to do I do this. The camera I just bought did not come with the drivers CD.

Please let me know soon, since we know how long it takes to get a good web cam now. Thanks!!

It appears that any suggestion in the thread to download any software is unnecessary, and may be a bad choice. I did this first following the earlier responses, and now I can't delete the contents from my Mac.

Resulting question: Have I allowed malware into my Mac? I will also ask this as a separate to the community.

For me, and I'm using Catalina, the correct response was to plug in the camera. as noted in other suggestions. Then I turned on FaceTime. It works. Then I tried Zoom. It works. I even restarted my Mac, and both applications are working. The camera's green light comes on once it's prompted by the apps.

Hope this helps.
