D-U-N-S Number issues

Hi, my name is Jason. Thank you for having me.

We tried to enroll as Corporation / Organization on Apple Developer Program. We received this message "This organization could not be verified as a legal entity. If you are a sole proprietorship/single person company, enroll as an individual. If this organization should be listed as a legal entity"

We checked our archive. It turns out we registered the company info Number of Employees as 1 (Note: Our local D&B registered us as Corporation.)

Currently, we request a modification to D&B and will be updated within one business day.

Does the modification also apply to Apple Developer Program or are we permanently registered as a single person company?

Again, we’re other Apple users, not Apple.

There exist multiple different types of corporations; LLC, S, C, etc.

The names on the submissions do all have to match exactly.

Wouldn’t be the first time there were issues in the D&B entry, either.

Check directly with the folks at developer relations?

Folks from the local D&B contacted me [Document Support for Apple Developer]. I hope everything should be fine.

It could be because of different types of corporation.

I will write the update later.

Hi,

I checked with the D-U-N-S lookup on Apple website and we got the email confirmation. We also check it on fedgov.dnb.com and our archieve. The legal structure is Corporation.

Number of employees listed doesn’t matter AFAIK, it’s the LLC, C-corp, or S-corp or related legal status.

Or maybe the wrong D-U-N-S was specified?

And we’re other users, not Apple.

You’ll have to contact the folks from Apple for an official answer.
