iPhone is stuck in recovery mode and Finder does not seem to be able to restore it

One day out of nowhere my iPhone X shut itself into recovery mode, and no matter how many times I turned it off or tried to force-restart it, it just popped back on recovery mode. I tried doing what the phone says to do, plugged it in and in Finder chose to restore and update it, but midway the process, it said that the process could not be completed due to not being able to connect to the server, which prompted me do it all over again, and after the 4th or 5th time, no message popped up. However the progress circle marker disappeared and was replaced by circling arrows which have been going on for about an hour without making any changes; the phone is still in recovery mode and I've run out of options.

I first took it to AT&T (which is where I got it from) and the technicians restored it (at least according to them), but shortly afterwards, it put itself into recovery mode again, which is why I tried doing it myself, but to no avail have I succeeded.

I do not know what to do to solve my recovery mode issue, and I would very much appreciate it if someone that has solved this helped me out.

If iPhone still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen.
