Need something to use as a monitor for Mac mini

My monitor/tv died, so I have nothing to use with my Mac mini. Can I use my iPad or MacBook Pro as a monitor for the Mac mini? Until life changes drastically, I cannot buy a new tv for monitor, so I can’t use the mini, unless one of these options work.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Depends on the model of iPad and Mac Mini you have.

See here: Use your iPad as a second display for your Mac with Sidecar - Apple Support

Though its not going to be just plug and play.

Outside of that, no, you will need to get yourself a new monitor or TV to connect your Mac Mini to.
