Bluetooth option in settings is circulating forever and the wifi option is greyed out.

i already tried to restore from a pc without restoring the backup. when this happened with 13.4 i was able to go to back to 13.3.1 and it worked fine. I upgraded it again with 13.4.1 and the same issue and i can't go back to 13.3.1 as it's blocked now.

support wants me to send in the device but i cant go be without a phone for week. any ideas??

I have had the same issue with my wifi and bluetooth not working after the update

I tried working with Apple support and they suggested to send the phone in for repair as well

Although mine is an outdated 8 plus and out of warranty

I guess this problem is widespread.. I am using an iPhone XR and am facing the same issues as reported by je100.. My wifi is greyed out and bluetooth is just loading.. Also, my phone's battery drains out in a few hours. Took the phone to Apple service, they told me its an hardware issue. I refuse to agree, everything else on my phone works perfectly, except for this issue..

Yes. I suspect this happened after my phone auto updated itself to 13.4.1 overnight. I woke up and found my phone without power, was quite surprised that my phone had died with 50% battery. I charged it and found that both the WiFi and Bluetooth wasn’t working. Tried resetting everything and even doing a factory reset and a DFU with 13.4.1. Nothing worked! I initially thought that my phone’s hardware had failed and cursed my bad luck. Then I started reading similar complaints from others online who’ve faced the same issue on 13.4.1 update. IMO this is either a software issue with the 13.4.1 firmware that affects limited devices or worst case the update has generated enough heat to fry WiFi/ Bluetooth IC on the board.. either way, it seems the update has caused the issue.

I got the same irresponsible reply from Apple that it was an hardware issue and that I need to replace the phone at the cost of a new one. I just brought my XR a year ago, and it just got out of warranty. I had taken good care of my phone, if anyone is to be blamed here it’s the Apple update that caused my phone to fail. For once, I hope they take notice of this issue and help their customers.

je100 I am glad it worked for you.. I've updated my iPhone XR to 13.5 and still don't have WiFi and bluetooth on it.. I am absolutely certain this is a software glitch, since multiple XR owners have reported similar issues. Apple support won't fix it, they want me to buy a new phone and I am apprehensive of taking this to third party repair centers, until I am absolutely certain this is an hardware issue. If only I had a way to go back to 13.4 or 13.3 I could confirm if this is indeed a hardware issue or a software one. I am starting to loose confidence in Apple and am really irritated at they way of working.. Even the service technicians couldn't get my phone back on iOS 13.3 or 13.4.. This is an absolute nightmare!

Update guys. Apple support had no clue and wanted me to replace or send my XR for repairs. I have another three XRs in the family working perfectly ok on earlier version. Hardware diagnostic didn’t make sense to me. Here is what I did and it solved the issue.

i had a back up on 5/25. Initially my phone just upgraded overnight and issues started with WiFi grayed our and blue tooth not working.

yesterday I reset my phone as new and let it reboot it completely. Then I again restored my back up from 5/25. After this is complete I saw or waiting for like 10 min and could see first screen showing still WiFi grayed out but working when you go inside of it. After another 15 min or so every thing was working as normal. Even now outside screen shows no more graying. Hope this helps.
