Connecting an external monitor to a 2015 MacBook Air I’m wanting to connect an external monitor to my 2015 MacBook Air. Do I just need a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable please, or is it not so simple as that? I assume the Mini DisplayPort is what is described as a Thunderbolt 2 on the quick start guide. Thank you.

2008 iMacs never supported Target Display Mode. See a list of supported model here:
