transferring files between Macs

Hello, Trying to transfer files from my failed 2017 Mac to my new Mac. Any suggestions?

Use your TIme Machine backup disk connected to your new Mac.

Restore your Mac from a backup - Apple Support


If you don't have a Time Machine backup it will depend on how failed your failed Mac is. You can try using Target Disk Mode and copy your files that way.
