iPad Air Gen 2 stops charging at 1%

I have tried everything; different cords, plugs, Macbook Pro, iMac, wall outlet, cleaned the lightning port. Nothing seems to be able to maintain a charge beyond 1%. I plug it in and immediately get the low battery icon. It charges up just fine, gets the Apple logo, and then switches to the PW screen. At that point it stops charging.
