SHOCKING MACBOOK

So what happened is I got a new macbook air 2019 online.....I opened and charged it for the 1st time and I got a mild shock and I saw like a very small blue line on it ...it did not look like a crack but just a small line I ignored it thinking that it was the space wallpaper design.

Then when I charged it the next day I got a shock again and after that I got scared and i left it alone ,after 10-15 mins when I decided to open it ,it had longer blue lines on it ,those lines had increased from small to large and everday it increases more and more. ...now as this macbook is getting hot and causing currents I have decided to keep it in its box away from me .This mac book is very scary it even gets too hot that u might even burn your hand.

And before i get blamed that I might have a broken socket with shocks in them ,let me inform that I charge many other Apple and samsung devices and I have never come across such shocks ever in my life.

Plus their is a quartine lockdown thing happening in my town because of the covid 19. Only people with permit are allowed to more around. So the online company is saying to leave the matter for now and deal it after the lockdown. It's right actually but then I am afraid what if Apple or the online store refuses to help me saying I should have informed about it earlier.

Is the anyway i can get a help or anyone with similar problems please come up with replies or personal opinions??

While I was curious, sought to learn if there were means toward

disconnecting battery from logic board ~ as a last-ditch effort to

forgo an internal short, that could be fire hazard..

Appears efforts to even go there ~ may cause void of warranty.

The 2018 model is similar enough to 2019 MB/Air, to learn of a

discouraging detail; where the power-out from battery attaches

to macbook, seems like a strenuous exercise. Not an end-user

serviced design, for sure; unless one has Apple tech experience!

Looked into a few online guides and DIY video, most of those

are for older model MB/Air with different battery connections;

and your model alleges to have original warranty. To tamper,

even to negate dangerous situation, may terminate warranty.

I suggest if you happen to have somewhat secure place with

concrete structure; such as storage area or unoccupied section

of garage.. MacBook Air could be set on non-flammable surface

and hope for the best; and Battery would eventually lose power.

I spent some hours reading online, and since these later models

have few/no end user parts to replace; there's 'much less' info.

You may choose to try and contact Apple directly, steps beyond your

regional, local, or country authorized service.

Several links to Apple exist; some offer different features; depending

on your location, some of those offer mail service for repair direct to

authorized Apple service. In those cases, they send a box; you put the

portable mac inside, and ship it back.

A few of several links I've bookmarked:

• Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

Above has sections with links for 'hardware' and 'software' help issues.

• Mac Repair - Official Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/mac/repair/service

Global:

• Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

https://locate.apple.com/findlocations

Local:

• Apple - Find Locations

https://locate.apple.com/

First link above suggests options including mail/shipping for service.

This may be conditional; limitations may exist. I'd look into this, there.

(noticed two posts from you -chose to reply to older- where info exists)
