Why does my ipad keeps asking me for my imap password

My new iPad keeps asking me for my imap password. I know my password so I don’t understand why it keeps asking me over and over again. I have restarted the ipad but it still does it when I open every email.

ive forgotten my imap password My emails on my iphone work ok but my ipad has stopped and is asking for my imap password. I don’t remember it and am bothered that if I change it then my iohone emails won’t work either? any ideas??

my iphone keeps telling me to put my IMAP password in and I have no clue what that password is. I try to get mail on my iphone and since it updated, it asks for my IMAP password. I have no clue what it's talking about, but I haven't gotten mail since a week ago tuesday Just on my iphone.

Hello,

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.
