iCloud Drive

I kept all my files on the iCloud Drive document folder instead on my computer.

all my original files where there.

after many massages saying that my drive is full, I got into the iCloud Drive and deleted all my files, thinking it is just a back up.

when I realised that the folder on my computer is empty I understood what I did but I can't restore it. why is it?

The problem is, that iCloud will no longer save deleted files in "Recently Deleted" for recovery, if you are exceeding your iCloud quota. Then any file you delete will be immediately deleted permanently to help you to free the storage quickly.

Do you have a Time Machine backup from before you deleted your files?

if you do not have a backup, data recovery software can try to find the local copies of your iCloud files, but you have to stop using your computer immediately, so no more delete files will be overwritten by new data.

Data recovery software is expensive and the results are uncertain. I would only get software, that has a free trial version anc can you show what can get recovered before you have to pay, for example DiskDrill, see http://www.cleverfiles.com/
