my macbook air is frozen. the apple icon is covered and inaccesable. firce quit won

Device is frozen. An open application is frozen. Force quit is frozen. Any ideas?

Hold the Power button down until it shuts off.

My MacBook Air is frozen on the login page My MacAir is frozen on the login page. The status bar goes halfway and then stops.
