iPad Pro Vertical or Horizontal with keyboard/track pad

I just ordered the new Apple keyboard with track pad. I’m wondering, with the magnetic attach on to the iPad Pro, do you take it off when you rotate the screen and read on the iPad Pro vertically, or if you want to use the Apple Pen on a vertical orientation? Or can you keep the keyboard with track pad on when you rotate the screen vertically?

I ask only because I know magnets wear over time, demagnetize and whatnot.... maybe it’s just better to keep the keyboard attached to the iPad Pro so that doesn’t happen?
