Phone not charging after 13.4.1 update

Even after the 13.5.... update the problem still exists. Here’s a work around that I just found out after experimenting a couple of times. In my iPad, I turn it off(completely power down) then wait for at least 60 seconds(for whatever reason it doesn’t work if you plugged in the charger less than 60 seconds) after 60 seconds plugged in the charger and it will re-start and starts charging... It works for me 99% of the time and I hope it will work on you too. I therefore conclude it is a software issue since it starts charging 99% of the time i. doing the same process whenever I needed to charge my iPad. Let me know how did you do after trying what works for me.

I went to the smart phone repaired store and changed the charging port . It costs $40 for my iphone se. you can search online to find a store near you.

My iphone 11 develop the same problem too, it won't charge on the original 5V 1A charger with the original cable.

That charger and cable charge everything else i have: iPad mini 2, iPad mini 4, iPad Pro 10.5.

I try all other chargers i had, found out that:

All MFI cables work other all my other apple devices.

1) All 1A charger won't works.

2) All 2A charger won't works

3) All 2.1A charger works at 1A charging speed

3) All 2.4A charger works at 1A charging speed

4) All Quick charge 2.0 3.0 charger won't charge

5) All Quick charge power bank won't charge

8) All 1.5A power bank worn' charge

6) All 2.1A power bank won't charge

7) All 2.4A power bank charge

8) Qi-wireless 1A won't charge

i guest will have to wait until they fix it, but, shipping product with not work charge is unacceptable!!

Since the IOS 14 update my IPad Pro 2nd Ed. And my IPad Pro 3rd edition and they will only charge with a universal 5 watt usb port

Im having the same issue with my ipad ! , I tried all the fixes from website like hard restart and cleaning the port .... ets. Then I bought new original cable but that didn’t work then I bought new charger which also didn’t help, then i I thought this could be due to update or software

upon search i found this thread

the summary of my issue is that it shows “ Not Charging “. But if i keep it over night it will charge up to 80% but with still showing not charging

note im using the original ipad charger the 12 watt

Same as mine. I totally agree that it’s a software issue. My iPhone Xs Max didn’t have any charging using both original iPhone chargers or third party fast charger until I updated it. Sucks cos now I can’t use my Momax fast charger and sometimes even the original charger doesn’t work!

My iphone se won’t charge after upgrading to ios 13.5. I replaced new battery, but still won’t charge even though the iphone shows charging symbol. So I upgraded to ios 13.6, and then I was able to charge only once. After that it won’t charge even if I reset to factory settings. Then I restored the iphone via itune and then the phone was able to charge only once. I tried to restore again, but this time it no longer works .

TO me looks like iPhone did something to the iOS system to send you an unsupported accessories error, so, you should either update your phone or buy a new charger :/

I went to the Apple Store today because of the charging problem on my iPhone XS after updating to iOS 14.

They don't think this is the software update problem. They say it's a hardware problem.

They also told me that the people in this community have no idea what they wrote here.

Ever since the update, 3 out of our 4 apple devices wont charge! Sometimes they do then other times nothing. Tried plugging into my Mac and doesn’t connect. The cables are fine. So annoyed and don’t know how to fix this problem.

Been having similar issues with my iPhone 8 in the last few days. Charging is intermittent tho headphone adapter still works in the same port. Have cleaned the port, reset the phone, and tried multiple chargers and Cords. Nothing works consistently and sometimes will charge for a while and then stop suddenly short of full charge but not at the same percentage

Same issue. iPad and both iPhones won’t charge on apples chargers and cables. Tried reset and bios reset. Nothing works after software update. Wife’s iPad and iphone charge fine on the same chargers.

Thx emercado. Tried multiple times. No luck. Same charger and cable charges my wife’s iPhone and iPad fine. On another note, I have 1 non Apple charger that is charging this iPad and my phones. All my apple chargers don’t work for these 3 devices but same chargers work on wife’s iPad and iPhone. Guess I’ll have to buy non Apple chargers to keep going with these devices if Apple can’t figure out what’s going on.
