I am using XS Max right now.But after update to the iOS 13.4.1 phone not charging randomly.I had tried different charger but the found same result
Even after the 13.5.... update the problem still exists. Here’s a work around that I just found out after experimenting a couple of times. In my iPad, I turn it off(completely power down) then wait for at least 60 seconds(for whatever reason it doesn’t work if you plugged in the charger less than 60 seconds) after 60 seconds plugged in the charger and it will re-start and starts charging... It works for me 99% of the time and I hope it will work on you too. I therefore conclude it is a software issue since it starts charging 99% of the time i. doing the same process whenever I needed to charge my iPad. Let me know how did you do after trying what works for me.

my iphone 11 and my wife’s iphone 11 suddenly stol charging with the origional lightning cable and adapter. Weird thing is our old ipads have no problem with the cable. And a extra strong non apple usb to lightning cable we got works on the iphones and ipads. Really wtf Apple!
I got this issue today after updating my iPhone XS to iOS14. I was able to charge it one time after the update.
At the moment I can just see the battery symbol with a thin red line on display (0%).
The phone had the charge of about 90% before this.
This is crazy . Again wishing I didn’t have an iPhone. Luckily my husband has a non Apple charger that works ! I’ve tried everyone in my house and the worst part is in my car it doesn’t connect now. I hate Apple !
Updated iOS two days ago. Always plug my phone in over night. Woke up last morning to a not charged phone. Different plug didn't work (ipad works fine on all of my plugs). Turned the phone off and on again, worked. Woke up to a non charged phone this morning. Different plugs, restarting, cleaning out the port - all didn't help.
Now I have to leave the house with a 13% battery. Should get myself any non Apple Phone and have a round of Fortnite.
Until then, who can I fix this issue? Shiny expensive Apple, could you please get the very basics together and at least fix your software?
My iPad Air was perfect. Updated to IOS 14 and the battery will not charge above 20%.
Everything was so great. And now the iPad is useless. I’m so disappointed.
Here you can see. My charger is plugged in and the battery is capped at 20%. Please Apple, respond!

Did you find the problem, because my phone charges a trickle. It takes hours snd hours on a lightening cord to get it to 90%
Me too exactly the same issue. Was with Apple online chat for over an hour resolved nothing with the exception of saying send my phone in 7 to 10 days to send back or take it to a store!
Am using Xr and is doing the same think,can you please advise me how to over come this struggle

Why is there not anyone from Apple is this discussion providing a solution? Customers spend a lot on cords and charging garbage. deceptive.

My XS is less that 6 months old and had no prior problems with the charging dock until 13.4.1
Also tried multiple apple cable and adapter.
