Cracked iPhone XR Screen but need to backup and erase all data from my phone in order for it to be replaced.

I cracked my screen and it is not useable. I need to backup and erase all of my data from my phone in order for it to be replaced. When I plug my iPhone into my MacBook it does not pop up and I can not use find my iPhone either. How do I backup and erase the things on my phone?

If you have not backed up your phone before it was damaged, it is too late now. The phone must be backed up Before disaster strikes! To erase phone, go to iCloud, sign in and select Find iPhone, then choose Erase.
