Noise Control for AirPod Pros on Mac

When connected to my Mac, if I click the sound button on the menu bar, I can see the AirPods and the battery, but there is no arrow to change Noise Control. Any idea how I enable that? (Brand new AirPod Pros)

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, risforreptar!

I understand you're not seeing the options to enable Noise Cancellation while your AirPods Pro are connected to your Mac. I'd be happy to provide information to help you address this.

Make sure macOS is up-to-date: How to update the software on your Mac

Test to see if the Noise Cancellation options are there. If not, unpair your AirPods from your Mac and then pair them again:

If your AirPods won't connect

"Connect to your Mac

If you're using AirPods (2nd generation), make sure that your Mac has macOS 10.14.4 or later. If you're using AirPods (1st generation), make sure that your Mac is using macOS Sierra or later.

Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Bluetooth. If your Airpods appear in the list of devices* but they don't connect, remove your AirPods from the list:

  1. Select your AirPods in the list of devices.
  2. Click the X to the right of your AirPods.

Add your AirPods to the device list in Bluetooth preferences again:

  1. Place both AirPods in the charging case.
  2. Open the lid of your charging case near your Mac.
  3. In the device list, select your Airpods and click Connect.

Test your AirPods. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods."

Let us know the results.

Have a great day!

Hi! Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately none of the above fixed the problem. I am working with 10.14.6 so should be fine. I unpaired and re-paired the airpods. They connect just fine! However still no access to the noise cancellation features from the mac...Any other thoughts I can try? The noise cancellation is a big piece of why I bought these and it would be a big bummer if I can't use that feature from my computer (I am a therapist and am adjusting to telehealth in this pandemic, so, noise cancellation makes a huge difference!)

Thanks for any help.
