Is there any way to disable being able to select the effects button when using FaceTime video on an IOS device?
Whenever my child goes on FaceTime with Grandma, he is obsessed with using the effects, and basically stops talking...

I understand that you would like to disable camera effects in FaceTime calls. I think it's wonderful that your family is able to use FaceTime to keep in touch. We do the same thing in my own home.
As it stands, this feature is unable to be disabled.
You might consider leaving a feature suggestion via the Apple Product Feedback.
