Hi Nanajbc,

We're glad you've reached out through Apple Support Communities for help with effects in FaceTime on your iPad Pro. We're certainly glad to help.

We've got a great resource to share with you. Let us know if the information in this guide helps, or if you've got any questions:

Add camera effects in FaceTime calls on iPad

It's important to note that while FaceTime effects are an option for your model of iPad Pro, the option to become Animoji or Memoji is compatible with iPad Pro models that include a TrueDepth camera, so this Animoji and Memoji option would not be supported on your device. You may still use stickers and other filters while in a FaceTime call.

Have a great day!

Hi Nanajbc,

What happens when you tap on the screen once while in a FaceTime call? Do you see the option appear for Effects, to Mute the call, and more? Is it only shown the Mute button?

Have you had a chance to restart your iPad since noticing this change? If not, please follow the steps in this guide for a standard restart:

Restart your iPad

What's the version number of iPadOS installed on your device? This can be found under Settings > General > About.

Take care!
