Is there a way to use Back-UPS battery with Mac Energy Saver?

Hi, the APC Back-UPS battery I got comes with a USB cable that can connect the UPS to the iMac. The PowerChute software APC supplies (to guide the computer to shut down safely in case the battery is depleted after a long power outage) is only Windows-compatible, but their manual says "If you are using

Mac OSX, use the native shutdown feature to protect your system. See the documentation

provided with your computer."

I'm still on OS X Yosemite (10.10.5). Their online instructions shown below I can't find in my System Preference > Energy saver.

Does that mean I can't use the feature?

the issue is using the Back-UPS battery, and in case there’s a power outage while I’m not present, and after a few hours, just before the backup battery dies — this software is supposed to shut down the computer properly, rather than cut it off abruptly.

Hello,

To my knowledge this feature was phased out of macOS over a decade ago. Just use the Mac’s shutdown procedure to turn off your Macintosh.

I solved it: I simply connected the iMac to the Back-UPS battery, using the supplied USB cable, and the Energy Saver window was adjusted to be set per the picture above, no software download needed.
