Does new Imac 2021 needed a external UPS to handle power outage. Or does it have a battery to online during power outage

While not a specific model recommendation, I have had good success with APC products. Check their site for models that would have the standby time you anticipate (keeping in mind the lower power requirement of new M1 Macs).
