iPhone XS Max lock button not clicking

How can I get my iPhone XS lock button to click again? It is almost like there is gunk in there or something. Is this an easy fix?

Thanks so much!

This button doesn’t actually “click.” It does have haptic feedback when you use it to lock (no feedback for unlock).

Check Settings > Sounds & Haptics > System Haptics should be ON.

If still an issue, try a simple restart. If a Restart doesn’t help, try a Restore. Otherwise, it might be a hardware issue with the Haptic Engine.

Hey ! Thanks so much for your response. I have that haptic system up and running. It sounds good and works. My volume buttons, when silent is on, sound really crisp and clean when I click them in; however my lock button still does not make any noise and doesn’t click in nicely.

Is it possible there is gunk or something in there ?
