How do I remove (turn off) a favourite in my contacts

Open the Phone App ➔ Favorites ➔ Touch on the desired contact and SWIPE LEFT to reveal the DELETE option and then tap on DELETE. The contact will then be deleted from favorites will remain in your Contacts app.
