Camera icon has a border?

My camera app icon suddenly looks different. I didn’t do any kind of update. The only thing I can think of is my friend’s messenger got hacked and I clicked on the link. It’s looked different since then. Can you delete the camera app and reinstall?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities, and I understand there's a concern with the Camera app. I'll do what I can to help.

Here are some suggestions:

There might be some settings that could control the look through Accessibility. Look through any settings there: Use display and text size preferences on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
You mentioned clicking a link. Check for any installed profiles: Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone
Remove the software on the iPhone and add it back. This will reinstall the Camera app for iOS:

1. Back up your iPhone: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
2. Restore the iPhone to factory settings using a computer. Be sure to have any passwords available that you might need, including your Wi-Fi or Apple ID password: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support
