Not my apple id

When I transfer data to a new device it asks for my ex-husbands Apple ID password. I don’t know it and I don’t care to have any of his purchases. How do I stop it from asking?

Replacing old Apple ID to new Apple ID, divorce is there a way my ex can use his new Apple ID on his devices without access to my personal Apple ID? He is claiming he needs my passcode (2 code verification) to change to his new Apple ID. I am in a divorce, my Apple ID was used by my soon to be ex. He demanded my new password so he could transfer/duplicate “his purchases”, but all purchases belong to the one Apple ID, making it against the law per Apple to transfer purchases to another Apple ID. Now, according to my ex he needs to access my Apple ID to change to his own new account. Which would allow him access to my Apple ID account.

Stop transferring your old data over.

Any app, video purchased or downloaded from App store or iTunes store is permanently tied to the Apple ID used to buy or download them.
