My AirPods randomly stop playing audio

my airpods randomly stop playing audio yet theyre still connected. like i cant hear anything and then i try and reconnect them and they say connected in settings but in the volume spot its not for my airpods the audio is for my phone

how do i fix this issue?

Airpods say connected but aren’t My airpods have suddenly stopped working.
