AirPods not connecting
My AirPods were connecting to my phone but the audio is coming from my phone still. I tried resetting my AirPods and changing the output but it would just spin and do nothing. Any suggestions of what I should do?

Re: AirPods not connecting : the audio is coming from my phone still.
Resetting the airpods and changing the output setting on the phone were great steps to try.
You might want to try updating the phone to the newest compatible iOS version.
Eg: About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support says iOS 16.5.1 is the newest update
or
if already updated, try restarting the phone (often restores order) Eg: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
The AirPods firmware would automatically update when paired with an up-to-date device:

If you still need help: Here's a few suggestions:
You might want to check that you are only connecting AirPods to one device at a time
(Eg may not be switching between multiple devices.) Switch your AirPods to another device - Apple Support
See if turn off / turn on bluetooth helps
See if the audio plays through the earphones in airport mode
Could an open app (eg Game with audio) be "over-riding" the earphones audio
Check that no speck of dirt or wax is blocking a speaker:

Headphone Accommodations works with AirPods Pro:

and what to do:
