Drag & Drop from Photos to Photoshop resizes down to 1024 x 768?

I (finally) updated from iPhoto to Photos and one of the functions I had been using in iPhotos as keeping an archive of texture files I use when I do digital painting. I used to just drag an image from iPhoto into Photoshop and it would transfer it full size, which is great because I could work with it in my paintings.

Using Photos though, it seems that functionality has changed to where it exports out a tiny 1024 x 768 version of that image, which isn't working for me. I know I could export to desktop at original size but to be perfectly honest it's a tedious work around. Is there a way to streamline it back to how it worked with iPhoto, where I could just drag and drop an image from Photos over my Photoshop icon in my dock and import at full resolution?
