Have this problem where when I try to take an image from safari and use it for my wallpaper, it's often very pixelated or stretched. Does anyone know how to fix that problem?

Image Pixelation:
Is this a screenshot you are taking? Or is it the image itself you are saving?
If you take a screenshot, then its pixelation will stay as it is shown in the screenshot itself. Save the image as a file, and its pixelation will stay as the image's official size.
To See the Original Size:
If it is an image, then its pixelation will remain as it is as a file. So, open it in a new tab, to download it as intended.
View the Image:
Or...
Drag and Drop the Image to the address bar or the Web Browser.
