Can't Select Text to Copy and Paste

Yeah I agree but Apple says it’s Facebook and Facebook says it’s apple. I am not really sure who it is I had the same problem with my iPhone 10 and now I have the 11. Same issue. But my daughter has an iPhone 11 Pro and she has no problem with it. So I kinda gave up on it.

It’s APPLE and only APPLE! I just updated to 14.2 and it’s still not fixed! It doesn’t happen just in Facebook, it happens in Apple Notes and in Apple Text and in this very post. I’ve had it up to here!

If you're having a problem with Facebook, delete the app and re-install it. If you continue to have problems, contact Facebook's support.

I have deleted and re-installed the app ... twice. Did not change anything. It isn’t something a new device will assuredly fix either because my IPad is less than 4 months old. In fact, my problem only started when I upgraded my device. I am current on my updates, as well.

I am not really sure how much clearer I can get NOTHING WORKS! Double tapping triple tapping, in front of the text , all the text. The Facebook App doesn’t allow it for me. Luckily that’s the only app because it sounds like others have issues with more apps.

I would love to go back two versions. So much is happening. On some apps while using them my touch screen stops working. I I’ve to wither back out and go back in or restart my phone.

Playing a game, this is not useful. I hate my phone now.

Same issue. Big problem. Highlighting and copying text in notes is a huge part of my research process. Very recently became problematic. Highlight cursor doesn’t line up with the text that I want. Erratic functioning, big time waster. Please notify when fixed.

IPhone 7 Safari, iOS 14.3.

It won’t work on iPad either. Tapping to get the menu gives it to me for a millisecond and disappears. Occasionally it is there long enough to ask it to select text but it disappears before I can ask it to copy.

Since I change my phone the Facebook app not let me copy & paste on Facebook’s post headline , did try to contact apple support , they said is the issue from the apps developer not apple’s problem

I have been having this issue for sometime! I thought I was just an idiot. You can attempt to SELECT ALL or COPY, CUT , PASTE, SEARCH but functionally it is very hard to SELECT ALL then COPY. I find the issue when utilizing the browser, email, and in some cases the notes function. This seems to be an issue in the native products and third party.

Hi Brenden. Since the last update I can’t select text in my notes. The only time I can select it is when I use the option DONE on the note. In this case, I have no option to cut or delete the selected text. I can only copy.

In my emails the select option has become erratic.

No problem in selecting text in browsers.

I used to do it without any problems.

Any suggestions?

I can’t even copy out of a note I have in one of my contacts. Native IPhone app and it just makes me crazy. I have to get away from iPhone before I throw it out on the highway. Spell check has been so terrible over the last 4 months I want to quit.

My iPhone xs with the latest iOS update does not allow copying and pasting under any circumstances, from web browsers, texts, Apple Notes, or anywhere else. The Select option simply doesn’t appear the way it always used to. Can you advise? I upgraded from the 7+ thinking it would solve some issues, but this one issue is crippling.

I am the one who started this post. My issue is I’m not able to copy a post on Facebook. You know the ones that say at the eve to copy and paste to your wall? THAT is what I’m unable to do on my iPhone. I can copy and paste on other apps but not FB. Holding nor double tapping works.

I cannot copy and paste anything on my iPhone 7. This has been happening since I bought this phone over a year ago. I’ve spent time RETYPING all my messages rather than address this issue!! I thought having an iPhone would make my life easier?!! That simply is not true! It takes much more of my time owning an iPhone instead of an android!!
