Output Jack

I want to use Garage Band with my guitar, but it looks like the jack is only an output. I even checked into the settings, as I saw after a few research over the web, and it appears that the only input possible is the built-in. Is there any way to switch it on a 2019 MacBook Pro?

Yamaha DGX-640 connect to MacBookPro M1 max I can't get my DGX-640 to talk to my MacBook Pro M1. I've installed latest software/hardware from Yamaha, connected keyboard to computer using USB cable. The Yamaha is listed under USB in "about this Mac" but it does not show up in Audio Midi devices and sends nothing to Garage Band or Logic. I've gone round and round and round and round and got jowherde. Suggestions please....

What do I need to plug in a non-USB sound mixer into Macbook Pro 2020? I was just wondering if the Macbook Pro 2020 had a line-in jack? If so, what cable should I purchase so I can plug in a non-USB sound mixer in?

You have to connect your guitar through the Thunderbolt 3 ports. The headphone jack is output only.
