Logic Pro now requires macOS 10.13.6 or newer. You have 2 OS's listed on 2 computers so if your 2011 iMac is still on 10.11 it will not download. Make sure your computer specs meet the requirements for Logic.

Hope this Helps, Greg

OK, if you made a full, bootable backup of your whole hard drive before you updated, yes, you can go back.

If not, it's tricky, tedious and you'll probably lose things.

Under your current OS, log into the App store with the Apple ID you used when you first purchased Logic X.

You should be able to update it to a bootable version under the 'Purchased' tab.

I have Logic version 10.0 - bought it when I was forced to upgrade OS - (I also have old Logic 9 ) Apple support said I needed to go to OS 10.13 for logic X ..... in some weird circle. Old version, new version, neither work on Old os, new OS...

When I changed the date : I got a different , more "logic" dialog box but the download failed after changing date. Can't use a web browser with incorrect date as well.

Yes, Wildrums is right. If you've upped the OS, that's the end of Logic 9 for you.

The date change only applied to your old OS and specifically, Logic 9 getting the basic content through Logic.

Logic 9 gets that content directly, not through a browser. A browser will not work with the date put back (as you discovered) but the content is not retrieved through a browser. I've done 3 of these in the 2 months before lockdown with people running 10.11.6. The date went back, Logic 9 was booted, it got the basic content, the date was returned to normal.

Sorry it didn't work for you but on your current OS Logic 9 is no more.

Backed up current iMac, Turned date back to 2016 , went back to 10.11OS previous 10.13 install (though the OS did not change - it is still running on 10.13 )

Open Logic X and tried Logic 9 (you need current version…) and it loads 2 GB of material and then…Nothing it doesn’t open or fail..

Restarted — nothing, just goes back to download content.

so - I can't open Logic 10.0 on OS 10.13
