Apple Watch activity with Garmin Connect

Hi, when I do a bicycle training, I start the “outdoor cycle” workout on the Apple Watch and at the same time I start my Garmin bike computer. Once everything is synced, does the Activity app on my iPhone add up the calories from the two workouts or recognize that they are part of the same session?
