I'm trying to file a claim with Assurant for my stolen iPhone

I'm trying to file a report with Assurant because my iPhone was stolen two weeks ago. I've tried to start this process on the apple website several times and I'm met with this error message each time "We're Sorry. We're sorry, but we are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later". There is no other information so I am confused about what to do next.

According to File a claim if you have AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage - Apple Support, if you are unable to sign in or begin your claim online, you need to get in touch with Apple Support directly. You can do that here: Contact Apple Support.
