Pro Apps Education on 2 MacBooks

Hi there,

I recently purchased Pro Apps (Education edition) and I'm delighted with it. I installed it, following the 'Redeem Voucher' approach that Apple requires, on my main college laptop.

I have a second, older MacBook Pro, which I'd like to dedicate to Logic Pro X tasks. In almost every forum answer on utilising the software on 2 laptops, this seems to be permissible - people download their copy from the App Store on to both laptops.

However, for the Education version, a voucher code is 'redeemed' to allow the download. When I try this route on my second laptop, the App Store responds that I have already redeemed the code and goes no further. Does anyone know (1) if and (2) how I can use my education version on both of my laptops?

For context, I am logged in on both computers using the same Apple ID.

Thanks so much to anyone who has any insight.

Keep safe and all the best from Ireland,

Patrick

Hi,

You don't need to redeem the voucher again. It is associated to the Apple ID.

If you're logged on the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID used for the initial purchase, you can download and install Logic on any computer you own or control. Look under your profile (Icon at the bottom left) in the App Store app.

If I search in the regular store, it shows the full price item.

Then it looks like you're not logged with the same Apple ID. Logout from the Mac App Store and login again. Any changes?

Your tag line says "macOS 10.14". Is it what you have on the MacBook Pro?

Just to be sure. You're referring to this Bundle for Education? Buy Pro Apps Bundle for Education - Education - Apple.

The other - remote - possibility is the your college has a special institutional licensing. I doubt it.
